On the General Tab of the module, you have to specify which menu to use in the “Menu” field drop down. (For menus to appear in this dropdown they already need to be set up under Appearance > Menus in your WordPress Dashboard.)

You can also set the background colour of the menu on the General Tab of the module and switch the text colour from dark to light, if necessary for your new background colour.
